The Tooth & the Puppy Hunt

Tiger AKA The Tooth is a 2 year old dachshund who is a bit funny looking yet cute as hell.

Tiger is undergoing potty training.. in a sense we're moving him from puppy pads to using the tree out front. Now, that seems easy enough, EXCEPT, now I have to walk him 5 times a day. 20 mins each. It's VERY irritating, but good for him.

What else would be good for him? Companionship. We're looking for a puppy. A female who can deal well in an apartment with 2-5 walks/day.

Hopefully, we'll be getting Poppy in about 7 hours. We'll rename him, but he seems perfect for Tiger. And me...

Does anyone know of any local breeders of small dogs?

Let me know!

Until Then...

Happy Pride!

Capital Pride took me on June 11, June 13, and June 14. Two performances at the Palace of Wonders on the 11th, Friday off. Saturday morning, Talent Auditions for Miss Black America in the morning, and the Parade that evening followed by drinks. THEN brunch to start out Sunday morning, followed by the Festival, where I performed twice, drinks after that, than a show that night at Phase 1.

I decided, that night, that I was going to get Tanked. And I proceeded to. My sister, my Burlesque daughter and I took shots till we ran outta cash. It was fantastic.

I spent 3 days coming down. Thursday I got my driver's license (again, but finally! It's been 5 years!) I'm legal again!

omg...

I gotta tell ya... my *girls* are exhausted... they need some TLC something FIERCE!

Until next time...

Fly United if you want something free--

United Airlines.

They have one thing in common with EVERY trip I take--They overbook and screw someone over.

I went to California with a special someone in April and on the way back, we ended up trading in our tickets for a later flight (receiving a hotel stay and a future free flight). THEN I got STUCK in the Winnipeg Airport with about 12 LUNIE dollars (no idea how to properly use or even spell that--i.e. Canadian Coin Cash). My flight was supposed to leave at 955am. SO I get to the airport at 800am. Nice and early, because I have to go through customs, etc.

I am the 3rd person through customs that morning, I am ready to go!

THEN 830 comes and goes... 900 the same, 930... (still no announcement about the plane loading), 945... still nada, then 957, 1003... BY 1015, the lady decides to tell us that the flight was cancelled due to electrical damage and we'd all be rerouted to arrive at our destinations a little later. All we had to do was wait to be called. SO! I do just that. Sit and wait.

By 1130, I realize I am the only fool who didn't bother her! So I get in line and find out she's put me on the LAST flight of the day. Leaving at 538pm. Oh HELL No.

I basically just break down and cry.. (I'm sensitive!). I have a video of me as the only one in the Airport. I'm LIVID and hysterical. Out of this, I ended up getting home at midnight, versus 3pm, and with $100 off my next United flight.

I'm thinking after my free flights, I'll switch to Delta or American...

Until Next Time...

Ass-in-a-Bun Park

I couldn't believe it. There Actually was a place in Winnipeg called Ass-in-a-bun park. Well.. Assiniboine, but STILL! I met the most amazing people there and couldn't believe that I'd spent my whole life without knowing of this place or these people!

I don't know what it was about them, their generosity, hospitality, or ability to drink longer and a lot more than us without getting even a little bit sick, or if it was just me being in a new place FULL of like-minded and open-minded people. I think I need to return there, with some important people who need to meet a group of friends and performers who work TOGETHER to raise funds to support their youth.

Maybe that's the largest difference between the US and Canada... Or just Winnipeg... I dunno, but I may be in Montral for the Burlesque Festival *if I can get my submission in ON-TIME* and if I can get some support from sponsors **wink wink-nudge nudge** and we'll see if I can scrape up the funds to go. I am enjoying every minute of this ride and hope it's not ready to end.

Until next time--
